Integral Foreign Trade Services

Why is registering to the Importers Registry important

Complying with customs regulations is essential to avoid legal issues and ensure a smooth flow of goods. In this context, registration to the Importers Registry is a key requirement as dictated by Article 59, Section IV of the Mexican Customs Law, as well as Article 82 of its Regulations. This process is crucial for both companies and individuals who wish to import products from abroad into Mexico.

The Importers Registry is a system managed by the Tax Administration Service (SAT) designed to maintain effective control over Mexico’s foreign trade operations. This system ensures the legality of imports while also helping to prevent customs fraud and the entry of smuggled goods into the country.
